\documentclass{article} \title{The Trinity Houmous and Inventive and Creative Kitchen Organization Constitution} \author{Mr Thomas K{\"o}ppe and Mr John Fremlin} \date{2002-11-22} \begin{document} \maketitle \tableofcontents \section{Name} The name of the society is the ``Trinity Houmous and Inventive and Creative Kitchen Organization''. \section{Constitution} This constitution shall govern the society, and may only be amended by ukase of the Tsar. \section{Purpose} The objective of the society is to promote activity and interest in cooking, particularly the production (``brewing'') of high quality houmous in the kitchen facilities provided by Trinity College, Cambridge. \section{Membership} Any person who has wittingly and willingly passed through the Great Gate of Trinity College is eligible for membership of the society. Membership may be awarded or revoked by ukase of the Tsar. \section{Tsar} The Tsar, heir apparent of his imperial majesty, Nicholas II, shall govern the society. \section{The Duma} The Duma shall consist of the Chairman and the Prime Minister, and such members as may be appointed by ukase of the Tsar. \subsection{Duties} The Duma shall act in accordance with the purposes of the society. \subsection{Powers} In the absence of explicit instructions from the Tsar, a majority of members of the Duma may interpret the will of the Tsar in accordance with the purposes of the society, and thereby issue ukases in his name. Deputies may be elected from among the members to positions in the Duma and deputies removed from the Duma by ukase of the Tsar. \subsection{Deputies} \subsubsection{The Chairman} The Chairman shall chair the meetings of the society. In the event that the same number of members of the Duma support a particular interpretation of the will of the Tsar as oppose it, the Chairman shall determine whether the interpretation is correct and thereby determine the will of the Tsar. \subsubsection{Prime Minister} The Prime Minister shall prepare accounts and present them at least once a year to the Senior Treasurer. Should the Chairman become unwilling or unable to fulfill the duties of the post, the Prime Minister shall become Chairman. \section{The Committee} The committee shall consist of the Senior Treasurer and the Duma. \subsection{The Senior Treasurer} The Senior Treasurer shall review the accounts of the society at least once a year, and may from time to time advise the Duma. \section{Meetings} Meetings of the society may be called by ukase of the Tsar at least one week in advance. No meeting shall be valid unless a copy of this constitution is available to delegates. There must be at least one meeting of the society each year. \section{Finances} Expenditure by the society must be approved by ukase of the Tsar. \end{document}
